Class Descriptions
Beginners/Level 1: The basics of
foundation postures, meditations and breath awareness; detailed
instructions and a moderate pace for building strength, balance, and body
awareness
Intermediate: Variations of basic
postures at an advanced pace, learning inversions (i.e.
handstand/headstand), and binding;
introduction to Sanskrit terms & finer points of practice
Advanced: Advanced variations,
inversions and binding; silent meditations and pranayama practices. (Note:
You must have significant balance and stamina & be able to perform
inversions without instruction. Those new to YogiVeda studios must exhibit
proficiency in Intermediate classes before admittance to advanced classes.)
Gentle: A mellow and meditative class focused on
stretching the body & relaxing the mind
Bhagavad Gita: Kirtan, interactive lecture about the
Bhagavad Gita, and a vegetarian feast. Monthly times announced via email,
Facebook, and on website
